Chirpy's Mango Adventure

I am a little bird and I live with my mother on a mango tree growing in an orchard. I love eating mangoes and little grains that my mother finds for me.

One day while my mother went to find food, I saw a small and ripe mango on a branch next to my nest. I thought to myself "It would be good to show mother a tasty ripe mango so she would be proud of me and my food hunting skills!"

So I reached out my hand to pick the mango, but I fell down from the nest with it. I felt scared and lonely in the forest all alone. I cried and I shouted, but no one came. Then suddenly a girl called Nina came to my rescue! She looked to me as a nine or ten year old girl. I loved her bright yellow shorts and the purple top she was wearing! She said "Oh poor little bird, where did you fall from?" I pointed towards my nest with my bright yellow and orange spotted right wing. Yes, you are noticing it right, we were both wearing yellow! Maybe it was her favourite colour too. And just as I was thinking about her, she interrupted my thoughts and said "So that is your nest. I will take you there." She climbed the tree very courageously and put me with my mango back in my nest safely. I tweeted a thank you note to her. She seemed to understand and said "Welcome Chirpy!" "Chirpy? Is she trying to give me a name? Well, I love it!" She then climbed down the tree carefully using the branches and went home. My eyes followed her as she was walking and I saw that she lived right next to my orchard.

At dusk when my mother came back I told her about Nina. She hugged me tight with her lovely orange wings and pecked me lovingly. After all my adventure I was safe and sound in my nest with my mother enjoying the juicy yellow mango!
